Obstetric emergencies

Providing quality emergency obstetric care reduces the risk of maternal and newborn mortality and morbidity. There is evidence that over 50% of maternal health programmes that result in improving access to emergency obstetric care and reduce maternal mortality have an emergency obstetric care component. Unfortunately, there is a huge need for an emergency obstetric care training across the country. This module aims to bridge that gap which exists among the caregivers working in the field of maternity services in Sri Lanka.
